TUITION & FEES
My fee is tuition-based for your choice of thirty minute, forty-five minute or one hour lesson plans for the upcoming studio term.
My studio matters will be handled through an online music teacher’s studio management service. You will receive email invoices due on the 1 st of each month. Additionally, this service will automate event notices and allows for messaging between me and parents and/or students. Payment is due in advance and by the 10 th of the month. If your budgeting requires that you make payment mid-month, then your mid-month payment will be credited to the next full month’s tuition so that late fees will not be incurred.

45 minute lessons $185.00

Registration and Material fees are invoiced manually outside this system and must be paid prior to the start of the studio term. This annual $75 fee covers all books, CD’s, and materials.
CANCELLATION OF LESSONS:
30 day paid notice of withdrawal is required. When signing up for lessons, each time slot is committed to one student for the entire studio year.
ATTENDANCE
Regular attendance at lessons is necessary and expected.Lessons cancelled because of illness (if student is also absent from school) will be made-up at my convenience. If you have a conflict due to another activity, I will assist you in REARRANGING your lesson time if you give me 7-day notice. Given enough notice, I am happy to “swap” lessons. If I miss a lesson, I will make up that lesson. Please do not ask to make up lessons for any reason other than illness or official school closures due to inclement weather.
Please remember that I have a published NO MAKE-UP POLICY. Your scheduled time is reserved for YOU and YOU ALONE. If you ask me to make-up a lesson at a different time, my fee is suddenly discounted to half-price. This year I am flexing to make reasonable allowances.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
Please arrive and depart on time.If you come late, the lesson will still finish at the scheduled time.If you run errands while in Boerne (many of you live a distance away and use that time to do so), please let me know if you anticipate a delay in picking up your student(s).
PRACTICE TIME
In order to learn music effectively and to improve steadily, students should schedule a regular daily practice time. Practice should be done in a quiet, distraction-free environment.
It is VERY IMPORTANT for parents to supervise children between the ages of 5-10 during their practice time, especially during their first year of study. Ask me for suggestions about helping your child practice, and regularly discuss your child’s practice routine with me.
PARENT TEACHER COMMUNICATION
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me right away by phone, text, or e-mail.
TEACHING RESPECT
Learning to show respect is one of the most important lessons that students learn through taking music lessons and undertaking the serious study of music. Private lessons are quite different from classes in school. This is sometimes a first encounter with tutoring on a one-to-one basis. Disrespect of any kind will not be tolerated. Respect the teacher, respect the composer, respect the music, respect the performance, respect your talents – respect is an essential component of our time in lessons.
CONCLUSION
This is my attempt to create an organized, productive, and comfortable year that’s rewarding for all concerned. There are forms for your signature in the Parent's Packet that's distributed each year at registration. Please sign that you have read not only this, but also the remaining contents of this folder.
I AM HONORED AND PRIVILEGED TO SHARE MY PASSION FOR MUSIC BY INSTRUCTING, MENTORING, JUDGING, CREATING, PROMOTING AND HELPING TO MAKE MUSIC A PART OF MY STUDENTS' LIVES.
